Info: Janice needed help. Her 10 year old female Labrador Retriever cross Koko had an invasive tumor growing on her front leg. The cost of surgery was more than Janice could afford. Left by itself the tumor would eventually affect a lot of the leg and become very infected and painful and the leg would have to be amputated. But aggressive surgery, done early enough, would save the leg and Koko's life. Janice applied for subsidization and Koko surgery was done in February 2003. Koko has done very well and is expected to make a full recovery and remain cancer free.
